Spartans blowout Buccaneers in Beloit

The Aurora University women's lacrosse team wasted no time once again getting the running clock rule enacted with a 10 goal first quarter on their way to a 21-2 blowout at Beloit College on Tuesday night.

How it happened
- Three goals in the first 41 seconds of the game with two from Danielle Cobbett and one from Monique Gibson ended up being all AU would need in a 21-2 win.
- Seven more goals followed in the first quarter with the 10th coming just before the quarter horn sounded for a 10-0 lead.
- Jalyn Yaukovitz scored the goal for the running clock while Cobbett (3) and Gibson (4) had first quarter hat tricks.
- AU led 14-0 before Beloit scored in the final minute of the second.
- AU took the 14-1 lead to halftime.
- The Spartans continued to dominate the second half, out-scoring Beloit 7-1.
- Freshman Allyson Richards tallied her first collegiate goal of her career in the third.
- AU was victorious 21-2.
