Spartans buzz Foresters in non-conference tilt

The Aurora University women's lacrosse team hosted a non-conference tilt with Lake Forest College on Tuesday afternoon and sent the Foresters home in defeat, winning 15-8.

How it happened
- AU dominated the game early, building a 7-0 lead in the first quarter.
- Bailey SImpson and Monigue Gibson each had two goals in the run.
- The Spartans led 7-1 after the first and forced a Forester goalie change.
- The second was much lower scoring with AU out-scoring LFC 3-2.
- Gibson scored her third and fourth of the game while Simpson added her hat trick.
- AU led 10-3 going to halftime.
- Two goals from Jalyn Yaukovitz and one from Brianna Peck gave AU the running clock with a 10 goal lead midway through the third.
- A late LFC goal in the third had AU ahead 13-4 after three.
- Danielle Cobbett scored 13 seconds into the fourth to get the clock ticking once again.
- LFC scored four of the final five goals of the game in the fourth but AU's lead was never in doubt.
- The Spartans were victorious 15-8.
