16 Spartans score in blowout win

The Aurora University men's lacrosse team had their way with the visiting Cougars of Concordia University Chicago winning 27-1 with 16 different Spartans scoring a goal in victory.

How it happened
- The game was never in doubt as the Spartans scored early and often, locking down on defense and dominating the face-off dot.
- Ben Strub scored the games first goal and the avalanche of goals continued throughout the game.
- 22 seconds after the first goal, Rielan Pura intercepted a pass and took advantage of the wide open net for the would be game winning goal just 1:12 into the contest.
- The Spartans would add 11 more goals in the quarter and led 13-0 after one.
- AU starting goalie Phillip Gianelle did not face a shot in his only quarter of work.
- After a seven goal second, AU led 20-0 at halftime.
- The Spartans added two scores in the third and five in the fourth for the 27-1 victory.
