The Aurora University softball team traveled to Rosemont, Illinois to take on the Stars of Dominican University for a Saturday afternoon conference matchup. The Spartans split the doubleheader with the Stars falling in game one 6-5 and winning game two 7-5.

Game OneÂ
- The Spartans took a 3-0 lead in the second inning, manufacturing the runs with two outs and two singles.Â

Faith Biggs drove in
Kionna King and
Ashley Talaga who both led off the inning with back to back singles.
Jordan Seyfried followed with a single to bring in Biggs.
- The Stars responded in the bottom half of the frame, scoring one run.
- AU added two runs in the top of the fourth.
Delilah Aguirre led off the inning with a triple down the right field line and later scored on a squeeze bunt from Biggs. Â
- With two outs and runners on first and second,
Lexi Rayborn hit a run scoring single to bring across Biggs.
- In the bottom of the fifth, the Stars scored three runs on three hits to trail the Spartans by one, 5-4.
- DU tied the game 5-5 in the bottom of the sixth.Â
- The Spartans were unable to add a run in their final at bat before heading into the bottom of the seventh.Â
- In the final half inning, with two outs, the Stars were able to manufacture the winning run.
- AU fell 6-5 in game one.Â

- AU got the scoring started in the opening frame, scoring three runs on two hits and one Star error.Â

Tyler Chambers who reached on a walk and error. Rayborn scored on an RBI from
Ashley Talaga.Â
- The bottom half of the frame saw Dominican score two runs on three hits.
- After two scoreless innings, the Spartans added four runs in the top of the fourth.Â

Jordan Seyfried. With one out,

Kionna King drove in Rayborn on a double and the Spartans led 6-2.
- In the sixth, Fiehweg tripled down the left field line and later scored on a ground out from Rayborn.Â
- The Stars threatened in the final half inning scoring three runs on four hits. With the tying run at the plate and two outs,
Rylee Campbell was able to get out of the jam with a ground out.Â
- AU won 7-5 in game two.Â
