The Aurora University softball team returned home to Bedrosian Stadium for a midweek conference matchup against the Eagles of Edgewood College. The Spartans came back in the bottom of the seventh to win game one 6-5 and completed the sweep winning game two 5-3.

Game OneÂ
- A solo home run off the first pitch of the game gave the Eagles a 1-0 lead.
- The Spartans responded in the bottom half scoring two runs on four hits.
Jemma Fiehweg led off with a triple to left field and scored on a single from
Tyler Chambers.
Lexi Rayborn followed with a single to left field and would come around to score on a double from
Ashley Talaga.Â
- Edgewood tied the game in the top of the third off a Spartan error.
- In the fourth, back to back RBI singles from Chambers and Rayborn put the Spartans up by two.Â
- The Eagles drove in one in the top of the fifth.
- The fifth and sixth inning saw the Spartans have bases loaded but neither times were able to break open the scoring.Â
- In the top of the seventh, the Eagles scored two to take the lead 5-4Â on three hits and two Spartan errors.Â
- In their final plate appearance, AU looked to rally. With one out Biggs singled and was followed by a walk from Seyfried. Fiehweg stepped to the plate with the tying run in scoring position and singled to score Biggs.

- Edgewood got on the board in the sixth with a two run homer.
- Solo homerun to lead off the top of the seventh brought the Eagles within two.

Madelyn Buske was able to keep the Eagles from bringing a run across, earning her first career save.
