The Aurora University women's lacrosse team opened the 2023 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference scheduled with a huge 24-6 victory over Illinois Institute of Technology.

- The Spartans scored early in often in the first-half, taking a 13-1 lead after one quarter.
- Jalyn Yaukovitz scored twice with Brianna Peck and Danielle Cobbett scoring for a 4-0 AU lead.
- IIT got on the board with AU scoring nine straight goals to end the quarter,
- A Jessica Boyland goal with 8:07 left in the first quarter started the running clock.
- AU added five goals in the second quarter and led 18-3 going to halftime.
- The clock continued to run the entire second-half as AU played all dressed Spartans in the contest.
- When the final horn sounded, AU was victorious 24-6.
