NCC First Chance welcomes AU women to outdoor season

The Aurora University Women's Track and Field team competed at the North Central College First Chance Invite on Saturday, April 8th. 
Lauren Bliefernicht began her outdoor season with two personal bests. A fourth place finish of 26.11 in the 200 meter dash currently ranks her first in the Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference, and seventh in school history. Bliefernicht's time of 12.75 in the 100 meter dash ranks her eighth in school history.
Madison Etheridge ran a personal best in the 1500 meter run, her time of 5:00.87 ranking her 10th in school history.
Ashley Greer scored for the Spartan's in the Javelin throw, placing sixth with her mark of 31.19.
Samantha Barrett and Freshman Natalie Grimaldo scored in the 400 meter Hurdles, finishing sixth with a time of 1:13.55 and eighth with a time of 1:15.78, respectively.
Freshman Keyara Bailey scored in the Triple Jump, placing eighth with a mark of 9.85.
Bailey and Hannah Cure scored for Aurora in the high jump, finishing in a three-way tie for eighth with a height of 1.41.
