Aurora University Spartans Bailey Simpson and Caitlin Cron have been named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Women's Lacrosse Student-Athletes of the Week, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals.

Bailey Simpson - NACC Offense Player of the Week
Simpson led Aurora to the 2023 NACC Tournament title with 13 points spread across wins over Edgewood (21-2) and Concordia Wisconsin (18-4). She had 10 goals - five in each game - with two assists against CUW and one against Edgewood. Simpson also had six ground balls and four caused turnovers for a strong all-around performance.

Caitlin Cron - NACC Defense Player of the Week
Cron had a strong performance in the NACC Tournament championship game against Concordia Wisconsin, causing five turnovers and scooping up six ground balls in an 18-4 win for the Spartans.

Next action for the Spartan women's lacrosse team comes on Saturday, May 13 when they travel the first round of the 2023 NCAA Division III tournament at the University of Mount Union with opening draw set for 10:00 a.m. (cst)/ 11:00 a.m. (est) in Alliance, Ohio.
