Spartan men win NACC Tournament Championship

The Aurora University men's lacrosse team hosted Illinois Institute of Technology for the NACC Tournament Championship. The Spartans defeated the Hawks in dominating fashion 23-4 to win the NACC Tournament. AU will now move on to the NCAA Division III Tournament.

How it happened
- AU dominated all facets of the game early on with Eli Etzler owning the face-off dot.
- The Spartans opened up a 7-0 lead in the first and expanded to 11-0 into the second.
- Rielan Pura scored three times for the hat trick as eight other Spartans collected a goal each.
- Jimmy Gorecki scored two goals late in the second for his hat trick as AU took a 15-1 lead to halftime.
- AU out scored IIT 8-3 in the second-half and won easily 23-4.
- 17 different Spartans collected a point in the contest.
- Etzler finished 16-of-19 in faceoffs as the defense forced 16 turnovers and allowed just four goals.
- The Spartans celebrated a return to the NCAA tournament and a 23-4 victory.
