Aurora University quarterback Ian Luyando was named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Football Offensive Player of the Week as selected by a panel of the NACC Athletic Communication professionals.

Luyando earned the honor after he completed 18 of 24 passes for 388 yards and six touchdowns to lead No. 16 Aurora to a 63-7 road win at rival Benedictine. He connected with James Mautino (40, 20) and Trey Madsen (2, 26) twice each in the first half before uncorking a pair of 62-yard touchdown passes to Ty Pruett and Madsen in the second half.

Next action for the Spartan football team comes on Saturday, September 30 when they host Eureka College on Homecoming 2023. Game time is slated for 1:00 p.m. on Vago Field in Aurora, Illinois.
