Spartans secure first win of 2023 and for Head Coach Courtney Naber

The Aurora University women's soccer team captured their first win of the 2023 season and first for Head Coach Courtney Naber, defeating Manchester University 4-0 on Sunday afternoon.

How it happened
- AU dominated the play and tempo early and throughout the contest.
- In the 23rd minute Kyra Karrer broke the scoreless tie for a 1-0 Spartan lead.
- The Spartans held the one goal advantage going to halftime.
- Less than a minute from taking the field for the first time as a Spartan, Natalie Pacheco found the back of the Manchester net to give AU a 2-0 lead.
- With just under 11 minutes to play in the game, McKenna Kunz put AU ahead 3-0.
- Just about three minutes later Kunz scored her second of the day and the Spartans led 4-0.
- AU goalkeeper Melina Cane made the shutout stand as AU was victorious 4-0.
