The Aurora University men's soccer team maintained their perfect record in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference play after beating Lakeland University on Saturday night 5-1 behind a hat trick from
Enrique Gonzalez. After this victory on homecoming, the Spartans have now won five of their last six matches.

-The Spartans recorded a shot on goal just a 1:56 into the game from
Alex Sandoval, which was unable to find the back of the net.
-In the 21st minute, Lakeland scored the game's first goal.
-Just over three minutes later, AU answered off a penalty kick goal from
Enrique Gonzalez.
-Gonzalez later netted his 11th goal of the season off a beautiful assist from
Omar Saldana in the 30th minute, making it 2-1 in favor of AU.
-In the 68th minute,
Gio Villegas knocked in his 3rd goal of the season, giving the Spartans a 3-1 lead.
-Just 16 seconds later, Gonzalez picked up right where left off in the first half and scored his 3rd goal of the game off a blocked shot.
-AU added on another goal from
Jaziel Enriquez, as Saldana picked up his second assist of the game, making it 5-1.
