The Aurora University men's basketball team battled with the Rockford University Regents on a Saturday afternoon. After grabbing a second-half lead, the Spartans fought late but came up just shy and lost 77-74.

- The first-half saw the game tied seven different times but the Spartans never could grab a lead and trailed going to halftime 38-32.

Dwayne Jervier Jr layup four minutes into the second-half started a 21-3 AU run.
- With 10:20 left in the game, AU led 61-50.
- Five different Spartans scored in the run led by six points from
Isaiah Davis.
- But over the next five minutes Rockford answered with a 15-3 run of their own and the AU lead disappeared.
- The Spartans led 68-67 as the game approached three minutes left.
- Rockford went six-of-six in free-throws and with 35 seconds led the Spartans 73-68.
- But a Davis three with 30 seconds left got the Spartans to down just two.
- After two Rockford free-throws,
Noah Butler drained a three to bring AU within one at 75-74 with 12 seconds left.
- Rockford made two more free throws and a three just before the buzzer to tie the game missed and AU fell 77-74.
