The Aurora University men's hockey team hit the ice for the second game of the weekend series against Marian University, clinching a sweep with a 3-1 win on Saturday afternoon at Fox Valley Ice Arena.

Derrick Budz started the scoring for the Spartans at 13:53 in the first period during a 5 on 4 power play. Budz received the puck from
Jacob Brockman and
Giovanni Procopio from behind the goal, firing a shot into the upper right corner.
- In the middle of the second period,
Jake Code extended the Spartan lead to 2-0. Smith recorded the assist as Code netted his fourth goal of the season.
- The second half of the period became intense for fans. With 9:19 left on the clock, multiple altercations broke out, resulting in several penalties and two players receiving disqualifications (DQ).

- Taking advantage of a power play with an AU player in the penalty box, the Sabres pulled their goaltender for an extra skater, capitalizing on the 6 on 4 opportunity to score a goal.
