The Aurora University women's bowling team got off to a strong start at the Valparaiso University Classic in Dyer, Indiana. The Spartans went 4-0 in Baker matches on the day one.

- On the first day of the tournament that consisted of baker play, the Spartans had a total pin fall for the day, shooting a 4,336 overall and going 4-0 on the day.
- The 173.4 game average was fourth best on the day as the Spartans would be the only unbeaten team.
- AU's best score of the day came in game three as they knocked down a 905 while defeating Elmhurst University 905-819.
