Spartans Effort Falls Short in NCHA Clash with Green Knights

On Saturday afternoon, the Aurora University women's hockey team took on St. Norbert College in the second game of their NCHA series. Freshman Jillian Bilsborough scored her first career goal in the second period, but the Spartans came up one goal short in the end.

How it happened 
- The first period saw several power play opportunities for the Spartans, but it was St. Norbert who struck first, scoring a power play goal to take a 1-0 lead.
- With 6:23 remaining in the period, the Spartans had a 5-on-3 advantage and looked ready to even things up, but they were unable to capitalize, heading into the first intermission still trailing by one.
- Early in the second period, the Green Knights extended their lead with a second power play goal, making it 2-0.
- However, the Spartans responded when freshman Jillian Bilsborough netted her first career goal, cutting the deficit in half. Bilsborough was assisted by Courtney Docktor and Alex Johnson on the play.
-The Spartans continued to fight hard in the third period, but the Green Knights added two goals to pull away, resulting in a 4-1 final.
