The Aurora University men's basketball team traveled to Decatur, Illinois, looking for their second win of the season as they continue their non conference schedule with Millikin University. After taking a lead after the first half of action, the Spartans would fall to the Big Blue on Tuesday night 49-45.

- AU started the game out hot on an 8-0 run that included a couple of treys from
Isaiah Davis and
Joevonn McCottry.
- The Spartans made that lead double digits with 13:03 left after a
Dwayne Jervier Jr. layed one in. AU lead 12-2 at this point.

Mekhi Doby gave AU their largest lead of the half at 19-7 after nailing a three.
- Doby got to the line with about five seconds to go in the first half to help give the Spartans a 27-19 lead going into halftime break.
- AU shot 47% from the field while Millikin shot just 26% through the first 20 minutes.Â
- The Spartans also killed the Blues on the glass 19-11 in the first half.
- Millikin started the second half on a 10-0 run, before Davis knocked down a jumper to tie score at 29 with just under 15 minutes to play.
- Back-to-back layups from
Jeffery Hillmer a few minutes later kept AU ahead 35-33 with just over 11 minutes to go.
- AU regained a two point lead with 5:47 left after
Maxwell Marius finished at the rim. The Spartans lead at this point 41-39.
- McCottry re-gave the Spartans the lead at 43-42 with 3:33 to go after he knocked down a jumper.
- The Big Blue would outscore the Spartans 7-2 in that final 3:33 as AU fell 49-45.
