Spartans Fall Short in NACC Championship

The Aurora University men's soccer team faced off against the Milwaukee School of Engineering on Saturday afternoon in the 2024 Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference Men's Soccer Tournament Championship. The Spartans battled in a tightly contested match, with the Raiders scoring first. AU responded by equalizing early in the second half and maintained pressure with continued attacks, but ultimately fell short by one goal.

How it happened
- The Spartans fired the first shot on goal in the 5th minute, from Jaziel Enriquez.
- After some back-and-forth action, MSOE took a 1-0 lead with a goal in the 27th minute.
- The Spartans came out of halftime ready to attack, scoring the equalizer just two minutes into the half. Jaziel Enriquez found the back of the net with an assist from Enrique Gonzalez.
- The Raiders regained the lead in the 53rd minute.
 - As the minutes ticked down, the game became increasingly physical, with MSOE committing 18 fouls compared to AU's seven.
- The Spartans kept up the pressure, firing several shots in the final minutes, but were unable to mount a comeback in the loss.
