The Aurora University men's hockey team returned to home ice for their second game of the weekend series, hosting their Annual Toys for Tots game on Saturday afternoon. The #5 Spartans faced off against Lawrence University in game two of the NCHA series, showcasing a dominant performance with five different players scoring and Hassan Akl recording two goals.

- The Spartans wasted no time, striking just five minutes into the first period.
Landry Schmuck kicked off the scoring frenzy with assists from
Hassan Akl and
Juliano Santalucia.
- The Vikings responded quickly, tying the game two minutes later.
-Â With 5:54 left in the period,
Jake Code executed a steal and delivered a perfect pass to
Hassan Akl, who scored the go-ahead goal in the upper left corner. Santalucia had an assist as well.
-Â A late-period power play gave the Spartans another opportunity, and they delivered.

Eddie Paulissian with a perfect feed behind the goal line, and Paulissian buried it to put Aurora up 3-1 heading into intermission.
-Â The second period was all Spartans as they dominated possession and out-shot the Vikings 12-6.
- Paulissian added to the Spartans momentum, tipping in a precision pass from
Juliano Santalucia at the 12:55 mark. Akl added his fourth point of the night on the play.
