The Aurora University women's hockey team hosted Marian University for the second game of the first round of the Slaats Cup Playoffs after taking game one yesterday by a score of 5-1. Each side netted a goal in the first period, but another scoreless two periods and overtime sent the Spartans into the semifinals by virtue of a tie at Fox Valley Ice Arena on Saturday evening.

- AU put another 12 shots on goal in the final period, but were unable to take the lead.
- A clean overtime period with no penalties kept the score tied at 1 through five minutes.
- By virtue of the tie, the Spartans advance to the semifinals after yesterday's 5-1 victory.
