The Aurora University men's volleyball team made the short trip to Lisle to take on the rival Eagles of Benedictine University. The Eagles recognized Spartan alum
James Karwin with blue #JamesStrong shirts. The Spartans welcomed the kind act with a three set thumping of the Eagles winning 25-23, 25-16 and 25-17 while hitting .350 in the match as a team.

- AU trailed BU 5-0 and 9-3 in the opening set when a timeout was called by Spartan Head Coach
Dan Ames.
- The gentle words of encouragement during the timeout from Coach Ames refocused the Spartans.
- An 11-4 AU run followed with a pair of aces from
Mateo Scharosch, two kills from
Josh McLellan and a kill from
Luke Dwyer giving AU the 14-13 lead.
- The Spartans continued to roll and would not trail again in the set, winning 25-23.
- McLellan led with seven kills in the set win.
- A monster kill from
Martin McKee to give AU a 4-3 lead in the second set and AU would lead the rest of the night.

Sebastian Ciszewski had an enormous block midway through the set to give AU a 14-7 lead.
- Spartans won the second set 25-16 and were in commanding lead 2-0.
- AU hit .367 in the second set with five kills from McLellan and three from
Connor Carroll.
- The Spartans never trailed in the third set with the score only being tied one time at 1-1.
- The 25-17 victory in set three gave AU the clean 3-0 sweep of the match.
