The Aurora University baseball team took on John Carroll University for a doubleheader as they continued their road trip in Central Florida. The Spartans took the win in a high scoring affair in game one after scoring seven runs in the sixth inning, before
Adrian Ruiz shutout John Carroll for a 9-0 AU victory in a five inning game two.

GAME ONE:
- AU starter
Joey Pettit tossed three scoreless innings before John Carroll on the board with two runs in the top of the fourth.
- The Spartans took the lead and some in the bottom half of the inning, as
Derek Angelo started the rally with a lead-off single and later scoring the first AU run off an error.

Logan Riley was hit-by-a pitch with the bases loaded that allowed
Nik Panico to trot home, tying the score at 2.

Tyler Patton later scored on a
Sean Rivera walk, before Niko Bermeo reached on a catcher's interference call that brought
Joe Lukancic home.
- The four-run fourth made it 4-2 in favor of AU.
- John Caroll scored five runs in the top of the fifth to take a 7-4 lead.

Nico Bermeo got another big rally for the Spartans started in the bottom of the sixth with an RBI double.

Dominick Curcio later scored on a balk that brought AU within one run at 7-6.
- The score became tied as Panico smacked an RBI single that scored Bermeo.
- With still no outs in the inning and the bases loaded, Lukancic picked up an RBI single of his own that brought Angelo home.
- The very next batter, Pancio scored on a wild pitch before
Spencer Ruch reached on an error that scored both Lukancic and Patton. This made it 11-7 AU.
- John Carrol did get one in the last inning, but it was not nearly enough in the 11-8 Spartan victory in seven innings.
GAME TWO:

Adrian Ruiz held John Carroll hitless through the first two innings as each side remained scoreless.
- Bermeo led off the top of the third inning with a single, before later scoring the game's first run on a balk.

Derek Angelo gave AU an early 2-0 lead when he launched a solo shot over the left field wall.
- In the fourth, Curcio ripped a double down the line that scored
Logan Riley.
- The Spartans took a 4-0 lead on the very next batter after Rivera crossed the plate on a Bermeo fielder's choice.
- Panico kept the Spartan rally going after ripping a single through the left side of the infield, giving AU the 5-0 lead.
- AU added more insurance runs in the top of the fifth with
Nick Czarnecki bringing Lukancic home on a single.
- Czarnecki and Rivera later came around on a Bermeo two-run double, making it 8-0 in favor of the Spartans.
- The Spartans added one more on an Angelo run scoring single before Ruiz finished off the John Carroll for the two-hit shutout win.
