Spartans Downed At California Lutheran

The Aurora University men's volleyball team hit the road for a showdown against the #6 ranked Kingsmen from California Lutheran on Wednesday night, with the Spartans looking to get back to an even .500 on the season. AU would drop the contest in three sets.

How it happened
- After falling behind early 8-2 in the first, AU came storming back on an 11-6 run to trail 14-13.
- Mateo Scharosch and Sebastian Ciszweski picked up a couple kills during that span.
- AU would end up falling in the first set 25-18. 
- A back-and-forth second set saw a total of 21 ties and seven lead changes.
- Josh McLellan was a force for the AU offensive attack in the second set with seven kills.
- The Spartans outhit the hosts .345 to .278 in the second, but were beat 27-25.
- The final set saw AU lose 25-18.
- Scharosch finished with four kills in the third set, but it was not enough for the Spartans in the 3-0 match defeat.
