The Aurora University softball team hit the field for another Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference doubleheader, this time against the Cougars of Concordia University Chicago. The Spartans shutout the Cougars in both games at Bedorsian Field on Wednesday afternoon behind strong performances in the circle from Rylee Campbell and Madelyn Buske. AU's Nina Richards walked it off on a suicide squeeze bunt in a 1-0 game one win, followed by a 10-0 victory (5 inn.) in game two for the Spartans where Buske saw her bid for a no-hitter end with two outs in the final inning.

GAME ONE:
- The Spartans threatened in the bottom of the second with three hits, but were unable to scratch any runs across.
- AU starter Rylee Campbell worked her way out of jam with runners in scoring position in the fifth to keep the score locked at 0-0.
- Casey Brennan led off the bottom of the seventh with double in the left center gap.
- Jordan Seyfried laid down a sac-bunt that got Brennan over to third with one out for the Spartans.
- AU walked it off on the next batter when Nina Richards put down a suicide squeeze as Brennan came racing across home safely.
- This gave the Spartans the 1-0 game one victory,
- Campbell finished with a complete game shutout win

GAME TWO:
- A Faith Biggs triple followed by a Kionna King sac-fly gave AU an early 2-0 lead after an inning of play.
- The Spartans added two more in the second inning when Tyler Chambers singled home Aubrey Ortiz and Isabel Morales.
- Alex Thiel ripped an RBI single out to left in the third that gave the Spartans a 5-0 lead going into the fourth.
- AU put up five runs in the fourth, starting with a gap shot from Shelby Linn that scored Chambers.
- Biggs scored on a Brennan sac-fly in the inning that made it 7-0 in favor of AU.
- Later in the inning, Thiel would hit a shot out to left-center that resulted in a bases clearing triple and 10-0 AU lead.
- AU starter Madelyn Buske only gave up two Cougar base runners both via a walk heading into the fifth inning.
- Buske would get the first two hitters of the top of the fifth, looking for one more out to secure the no-hitter and 10-0 AU win.
- Buske would finish with five innings of one hit ball for a 10-0 AU victory in five innings.
