The Aurora University men's volleyball team set a new standard for wins in a season on Thursday night when they defeated Illinois Institute of Technology in the semi-final round of the 2024 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament on Lancaster Court in Thornton Gymnasium. - The Spartans had to play the come from behind game in the first set, trailing early on before gaining a lead. Then trailing 23-22, the Spartans got a pair of kills from Josh McLellan and won 25-23.
- The evenly played set saw the Spartans out hit IIT .190 to .175 with five Spartans collecting kills.
- AU again trailed by a small margin in the second set and rallied late.
