The Aurora University women's lacrosse team celebrated the senior class of 2024 and welcomed back their alumni prior to taking on and defeating the Eagles of Edgewood College on Saturday afternoon on a chilly Spartan Athletic Park turf. AU opened up a sizable lead and then held on to win 10-9.

- Spartan Grace Pelletier scored a free position goal around two Edgewood early goals as AU trailed 2-1 four minutes into the game.
- As the AU defense stiffened, the Spartan offense took over.
- The Spartans closed out the first quarter on a 5-0 run to lead 6-2.
- AU goal scorers in the run included Pelletier, Kenly Axvig, Brianna Peck, Caley Russell and Nicolina Smith.
- Axvig and Russell added second quarter goals as the Spartans led 8-5 going to halftime.
- Only one goal was scored in the third with Edgewood scoring and the score being 8-6 going to the fourth.
- A pair of Edgewood goals in the first minute of the fourth tied the game 8-8.
- Pelletier tallied her third of the game for the hat trick on the power play to put AU ahead for the final time at 9-8.
- Six minutes later and with just over four minutes left in the game, Peck scored on the power play for a 10-8 Spartan lead.
- Edgewood added a late power play goal but the Spartans held off in the final minutes to win 10-9.
