The Aurora University baseball team hit the road following a neutral site contest on Thursday night, traveling to Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin for a conference doubleheader against the Sabres of Marian University. AU would lose in heartbreaking fashion in game one by a score of 14-13, before taking game two by a margin of 22-3 on Saturday afternoon.

Game One:
- AU's offense exploded for 8 runs in the second inning, starting with back-to-back bases loaded walks from
Nico Bermeo and
Joe Lukancic.
- The Spartans took a 4-0 lead in the first when
Derek Angelo singled home
Spencer Ruch and Bermeo.
- The very next batter
Nik Panico cranked a three-run home run to left field to give AU a 7-0 lead.
- Later in the first,
Sean Rivera would launch his third home run of the year that increased the Spartan lead to 8-0.
- Marian scored one run in their half of the second and two in the third to trail 8-3.
- AU answered back in the fourth with two runs of their own after a Rivera RBI single and
Nick Czarnecki based loaded walk.
- Marian scored two runs in the fourth to trail 10-5.
- In the top of the fifth, Angelo crushed a three-run home run over the left field wall that extended the Spartan lead to 13-5.
- Marian scored five runs in the fifth to cut the AU lead to 13-10 after five innings of play.
- The Sabres picked up another run in the sixth and two in the seventh to tie the score at 13.
- Marian would win the game in the bottom of the eighth on a walk-off home run.
Game Two:
- Bermeo scored in the first inning to make it 1-0 in favor of AU after a Marian error.
- After the Sabres tied the score at one in the bottom of the first, AU came back with nine runs in the second inning.
- A
Joe Lukancic two-run single followed by an Angelo two-run bomb made the score 5-1 in favor of AU.
- Later in the first,
Brenden Naylor would rip a two-run single followed by Czarnecki RBI single to give the Spartans a 8-1 lead.
- The very next batter Bermeo laced a two-run dobule that scored Czanrecki and Naylor.
- AU added one run in the third when
Dominick Curcio doubled home Rivera.
- Marian scored one run in the third to trail 11-2.
- In the top of the fifth, Lukancic ripped a two-run single to extend the AU lead to 13-2.
- That lead became 13-3 after a Marian run in the bottom of the fifth.
- Back-to-back solo shots to open up the sixth from Panico and
Logan Riley gave the Spartan two more runs.
- Later in the sixth,
Jon Wray tripled home Rivera to make it 16-3 in favor of AU.
- Riley and Curcio run scoring singles moved the AU lead to 19-3 in the seventh.
- Later in the seventh, Wray launched a ball over the right field wall for a three-run home run that helped give the Spartans the 22-3 victory.
