Aurora University men's volleyball student-athletes
Sebastian Ciszewski and
Josh McLellan were named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Men's Volleyball Student-Athletes of the Week, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals. This is the fourth week McLellan has been recognized and second such honor for Ciszewski on the season.
Defense --- Sebastian Ciszewski, fr., MH
Ciszewski earned the honor after he led AU defensively in a 3-0 week with wins over Lakeland, Marian and MSOE. The three wins helped the Spartans clinch a share of the 2024 NACC regular-season title. He had 18 blocks (four solo) in the three matches, averaging 1.29 per set.
Offense --- Josh McLellan, so., OH
McLellan earned the honor after he led AU to a 3-0 week and a share of the NACC regular season title. He had 62 kills over three matches - averaging 4.43 per set - and had 20 or more kills in all three matches as well. McLellan had 22 and 20 kills, respectively, in five-set victories at Lakeland and Marian before finishing with 20 in the Spartans' regular-season finale - a 3-1 win over MSOE.
Next scheduled action for the Spartan men's volleyball team comes on Tuesday, April 9 when they host Marian University in the first round of the 2024 NACC Tournament. Opening serve is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Lancaster Court in Thornton Gymnasium.
