The Aurora University men's lacrosse team saw the 2024 season come to an end in the first-round of the NCAA Division III Tournament on Wednesday afternoon as they fell to Illinois Wesleyan University 14-10. The match-up between the two program's was the third in the last 12 months and second straight NCAA Tournament contest for the teams.

- The Spartans fell behind 2-0 in the first quarter before
Owen Spencer got on the scoreboard with an assist from
Tyler Foerstel.
- AU would trail 3-1 after the first 15 minutes of action.
- Following an early IWU goal, the Spartans ran off a 3-0 run to tie the game 4-4.

Brody MacDonald scored in the AU run.
- With just over two minutes left in the first-half, Chris Buci scored to tie the game up 5-5.
- The teams would head to halftime tied at 5.
- In the third quarter, AU was out-scored 7-0 and trailed 12-5 after 45 minutes of action.
- The resilient Spartans came out firing in the fourth and executed a 5-0 run to get back into the contest.
- Spencer got the scoring started and was followed by goals from
Mikail Byun, two from MacDonald and and one from Bucci.
- With 2:44 remaining in the game, the Spartans had the host Titans on their heals.
- IWU would lock down the final minutes though, winning the final couple face-offs and adding a pair of goals for the 14-10 final.
