The Aurora University Spartan football team took control early and never looked back in their 49-0 win over St. Norbert College on Saturday afternoon at Spartan Athletic Park. The Spartans got it done both on the ground and through the air, as Tyler Adkins finished with four touchdowns and 289 yards to get AU off to a strong start in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference play.

- The AU and SNC defenses were stout early as both forced a pair of punts from the opposing offenses in the opening drives.
- On the third AU drive of the game it took four plays to travel 80 yards with a 54-yard touchdown run from Tyler Adkins putting AU on the scoreboard at 7-0.
- On the first play after the kickoff, Spartan Quintarius Davis stepped in from of a SNC pass and returned 30-yards to the end zone for his second interception return for a touchdown of the season.
- In eight seconds, AU went ahead 14-0.
- With the defense forcing another SNC three and out, the offense went back to work, scoring again in seven plays.
- Adkins hit Ty Pruett over the middle and he beat the Green Knight defense to the end zone for a 31-yard pitch and catch touchdown.
- After one quarter, AU led 21-0.
- The Spartans would score on all three full possessions in the second quarter to take a 42-0 lead,.
- Adkins made it 28-0 on a 10-yard scoring run midway through the second.
- On the next drive, Adkins hit Avron Carter for a 55-yard touchdown strike with AU going up 35-0.
- And just before the half after a long return from Carter on a SNC punt, Adkins hit Carter for a second time, this time from 35-yards out.
- In the first half, the AU defense to 83 yards of total offense.
- To start the third, the Spartan defense forced another SNC punt and the AU offense made quick work, scoring in two-plays.
- Adkins hit Ta'vion Geanes on a 62-yard scoring pass. Geanes had 60-yac yards on the play.
- Early in the third, AU led 49-0.
- Late in the third, Quintarius Davis nearly scored again on defense, scooping up a fumble and dashing 60 yards to the SNC five yard line.
- The Spartans would not score as a field goal attempt missed wide.
- As the clock would run down in the fourth quarter, the Spartans would reign victorious, winning 49-0.
