The Aurora University men's soccer team came back to Spartan Athletic Park for the 7th annual Veteran's Cup against the Cougars of Concordia University Chicago. Three goals through the first 25 minutes of action allowed the Spartans to cruise to the 7-0 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference victory on Wednesday night, with Branden Dolezal also picking up a hat-trick. Before the match, AU took a moment to honor the veterans and first responders' who serve our country.

- AU wasted no time after the opening draw as Josue Roman bombed one that allowed Brandel Doelzal to find some space and then the back of the net. The Spartans had a 1-0 lead after just 18 seconds.
- Roman was on the scoring end of the next AU goal that came just over four minutes after Doelzal's opening strike. Jaziel Enriquez set-up Roman for the early 2-0 Spartan lead.
- In the 25th minute, that duo would team up for another AU goal. Roman crossed one beautifully to Enriquez who found a wide open right side of the net for the Spartan goal.
- This increased the AU lead to 3-0, which would be the score going into the intermission.
- Each team put seven shots on goal in the first half, as Spartan goalie Alex Ageladelis saved all seven of them in the first 45 minutes.
- AU kept the pace up right out of the halftime locker room and found another goal in the 49th minute. Dolezal found Enrique Gonzalez for the 4-0 Spartan advantage.
- That duo later teamed up again in the 55th minute when Gonzalez found Dolezal for his second goal and 5-0 AU lead. Isaac Jacobo also picked up an assist on the play.
- 63:40 into the match, Dolezal secured his hat-trick. Roman also picked up his third assist of the game while Dolezal made it 6-0.
- The Spartans added one more off a penalty kick from Roman that snuck past the CUC goalie into the bottom left corner of the net.
- This allowed AU to finish off the 7-0 victory.
