Last week saw a group of AU teams begin their respective 2024 seasons, which included the first wins of the season for women's volleyball and men's soccer, as well as a first place finish from the women's cross country team. Another couple of AU teams will begin their seasons this week as fall sports get into full swing.
MEN'S GOLF
The AU men's golf team will begin their season on Tuesday at Aurora Country Club, where 20 Spartans will be in action. Including AU, 11 teams will be competing in the Spartan Double Gun.Â

The AU women's soccer team will look to avenge a couple of losses from last week to begin the season when they take on Lake Forest College at Spartan Athletic Park on Wednesday night. Match time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. The Spartans will then travel to Decatur on Saturday to take on Millikin University with match time scheduled for 5:00 p.m.

The AU men's soccer team will continue their season on Friday against Washington University in St. Louis, with the Spartans looking to get back into the win column after a draw against Elmhurst last Sunday. Match time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. AU will then finish their four-game home stand to start the season when they host University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Match time is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.

The AU football team will begin their season on Friday on the road when they travel to the University of Dubuque for a matchup with the Spartans. The reigning NACC champions will be looking for another perfect regular season, as AU has not lost a regular season contest since the 2022 season.

The AU women's volleyball team will continue their season this weekend when they travel to Oshkosh, Wisconsin for the Marty Petersen Invitational. The Spartans will take on St. Catherine University at 11:00 a.m. before facing #5 ranked University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh at 3:00 p.m.
