The Aurora University men's soccer team continued their four-game home stand to open up the 2024 season against the Bears of Washington University in St. Louis at Spartan Athletic park, with AU looking to pickup their first win of the 2024 season. After taking an early 1-0 lead, the Bears would comeback and tie the score in the second half.
Enrique Gonzalez's third goal in as many games helped give AU a 2-1 lead, but another late Bears goal ended the game in a 2-2 draw.

- The Bears put a couple of shots on goal in the 15th and 17th minute of the first half, but
Antonio Herrera laid out to make a couple of magnificent saves.
- In the 33rd minute,
Josue Roman found the ball in the offensive and struck one over 20 yards from the goal that found the back of the net, giving AU the early 1-0 lead.
- The Bears saw an opportunity to tie the score about six minutes later, but Herrera again came up with the stop.
- The 1-0 Spartan lead would hold going into the halftime break.
- Wash U would tie the score at one 20 minutes into a physical second half.
- It took AU all but 44 seconds to re-take that one goal lead, as
Enrique Gonzalez found the back of the net off assists from
Jaziel Enriquez and
Max Crawford. Gonzalez's third goal in as many games made it 2-1.
- In the 86th minute, the Bears would tie the score back up at two.
