The Aurora University men's hockey team extended their winning streak to five games on Friday afternoon when they took down the Falcons of Concordia University Wisconsin by a score of 7-0. Landry Schmuck finished with four points on two goals and two assists for the Spartans who eased past the Falcons in the first game of the series.

Matt Weber scored the first of seven goals for the Spartans just 5:34 into the first period to give AU the early 1-0 lead.
- Weber was assisted by
Hassan Akl and
Mathis Bedard.
- AU netted another even strength goal about four minutes later when
Landry Schmuck sniped one in off assists from
Juliano Santalucia and
Chase Broda.
- This helped give AU the two goal advantage going into the first intermission.
- Schmuck later picked up an assist along with
Keaton Lipsett when the Spartans made it 3-0 at the 6:21 point in the second.
- Just over two minutes later,
Riley Dekowny lit the lamp as Broda and Santalucia teamed up again to earn the assists.
- Dekowny's first goal of the game with both teams at even strength extended the Spartans lead to 4-0.
- After two goals in each the first and second period, AU took their four goal lead into the second intermission.
- AU's next goal came while on the power play as
Chayce Schmidt got in on the scoring fun off assists
Simon Diaz and Schmuck.
- At 16:24 in the third, the Spartans struck again on the 5 v 4 advantage as Schmuck notched his second goal.
- He was assisted by Akl and Diaz on his fourth point of the today.
- The Spartans added one when Dekowny notched a second goal of his own, coming off a feed from
John Hallard.
- Lipsett picked up his second assist on AU's final goal to help the Spartans take down the Falcons 7-0.
