The Aurora University men's basketball team had another buzzer-beating attempt but for the first time in three tries, the shotcame up shy as AU fell at Concordia University Chicago 67-64.

- For the second consecutive game the Spartans found themselves down 10 early in the first-half of their contest.
- AU once again responded with a huge run, 11-0 to take a lead 17-16 just 2:30 after going down 10.
- The Spartans trailed 36-33 going to halftime.
- Just over four minutes into the second-half,
Isaiah Davis hit a three to tie the game at 40-40.
- AU led 44-41 following two
Joevonn McCottry free-throws with 13:20 on the clock.
- CUC would answer and hold a lead the rest of the half including AU trailing by nine (67-58) with 1:52 to play in the game.
- A 6-0 AU run cut the deficit to three with 44 seconds left following a lay-up from
Dwayne Jervier Jr.
- A defensive stop for AU and a timeout set the stage for another late game heroic opportunity for the Spartans.
- Two shots for the Spartans in the final seconds missed the mark and AU would fall 67-64.
