- At the end of the first quarter, AU led 14-0.
- On the very first snap of the second quarter, Spartan running back TJ Ramsey dashed left through a big hole and finished with an 85 yard touchdown.
- After a six play Regent drive fizzled out, Mickle would pass the ball again to Svoboda on the first play of the AU drive and Svoboda would take that pass 76 yards to the end zone.
- Another short possession for Rockford would give the ball back to the Spartans at the Rockford 45.
- The third play of the drive would result in a touchdown as Mickle passed the ball short to his left to Lucious Dones for the 26-yard touchdown pass.
- The final Spartan possession of the first-half began with 1:03 on the clock and on their own 17 yard line.
- 59 seconds later Mickle connected on a pass over the middle to Conner Bright for the 14 yard touchdown.
- The first half would end with the Spartans up 41-0.
- The Spartans would kickoff the start the third quarter and quickly resumed where they had left off, forcing a quick three and out.
