Spartans trounce Regents

Aurora University men's soccer team took control of the match early on Wednesday afternoon in Rockford, Illinois, trouncing the Regents 9-0. The Spartans had three goals in the first five minutes, proving to be a quick punch that Rockford couldn't overcome.

How it happened
- The Spartans controlled the ball for most of the entire first half, out-shooting the Warriors 13-0.
- Walter Delapaz had a free kick opportunity in the 2nd minute, not letting it go to waste he put the Spartans on top 1-0.
- Not one minute later, Branden Dolezal put one to the back of the net on an assist from Omar Saldana.
- And then in the fifth minute, Max Crawford scored on an assist from Luca Avendano.
- Sophomore Aiden Karrer would score the first goal of his career in the 41st minute.
- AU would end the first half winning 4-0, and out-shooting the Regents 14-0.
- Coming out of halftime Josue Roman would score his 15th goal of the season on an assist from Branden Dolezal in the 48th minute.
- In the 53rd minute, Junior Luca Avendano would score on an assist from Josue Roman.
- Frankie Jimenez would score the seventh goal of the game for the Spartans on an assist by Aiden Karrer
- In the 81st minute, Jesus Ramos would score all by himself to put the Spartans up eight.
- And the final Spartan goal of the match, Frankie Jimenez would score again this time on an assist from Kaeden Radclifffe.
- The Spartan goalies Alex Ageladelis and Ethan Abi-Jaoude only needed to collect one save on the afternoon with the dominant Spartan offense.
- AU out-shot the Regents 29-2 over the course of the match.
