The Aurora University women's hockey team will enter the 2025-2026 season being picked to finish fifth in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NHCA) preseason poll while receiving 60 points in voting.
AU returns to the ice in 2025-2026 off a 10-14-3 overall record and went 9-7-2 in the NCHA with a fifth-place finish. The Spartans are in the second season under the leadership of Head Coach Mandy Montgomery and have forward Cara Cook back in the fold as the leading returning scorer with seven goals and 10 assists a season past..
The NCHA's regular season standings determine the teams that qualify for the eight-team Slaats Cup Playoffs, while the tournament champion receives the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship.
