Spartans Defeat Eagles in regular season finale

Aurora University men's soccer team played Benedictine University Wednesday night in Lisle. The Spartans scored early, and then scored the game-winner late to secure the 2-1 victory. Isaac Jacobo scored the game winning goal with 2:16 left in the game.

How it happened
- Spartan senior Branden Dolezal scored early to get the Spartans rolling on an assist from Carlos Viayra in the 1st minute.
- In the 6th minute the Eagles would score to tie the game 1-1.
- The other 44 minutes of the first half resulted in no scoring, leaving it tied.
- It took some time, but in the 87th minute, sophomore Isaac Jacobo would put one to the back of the net, securing the victory for AU.
- AU would end the contest out-shooting the Eagles 22-5.
- Spartan goalies Alex Ageladelis and Brett Miller would split time in goal, only allowing one goal, with Ageladelis collecting two saves.
