Spartans Second-Half Push Falls Short

The Aurora University women's soccer program battled hard on the road Wednesday afternoon but ultimately fell 3–1 to Dominican University in NACC play at West Campus Field.

How it happened
- The Spartans trailed 1–0 at halftime despite a strong effort from goalkeeper Leila Connor, who made eight first-half saves to keep the match close.
- Aurora found the equalizer in the 50th minute when McKenna Kunz scored her third goal of the season off an assist from Dani Machado Salazar.
- Dominican quickly regained the lead minutes later and added a penalty goal to close out the scoring.
- The Spartans managed five shots on the afternoon, with Kunz, Ellie Krueger, Kyra Karrer, and Sydnie Thomson each contributing chances.
- Connor finished with 11 saves in goal, keeping Aurora within reach throughout the contest.
