The Aurora University Spartans Men's Hockey team played in the Key City Classic Final against the University of Dubuque Saturday night. A tight first two periods of the game ended with an explosive third for the Spartans. AU would go on to win 5-2 and defend their Key City Classic crown.

- In the 2nd minute of the game, Dubuque scored to go up 1-0.
- Five minutes later, AU answered with one of their own when Jacob Brockman put one to the back of the net on the assist from Landry Schmuck.
- Dubuque would strike back later in the 2nd period, taking a 2-1 lead.
- Then in the 11th minute of the period Brockman scored again on the assist from Hassan Akl.
- AU would dominate the third period starting off with a 10th minute Lukas Sedlacek goal on the assist from Blake Kondor. 
- Then in the 15th minute Junior Jackson Hay scored off the assists from Jakson Kirk and Lukas Sedlacek.
- With 17 seconds left on the clock, Jake Code scored the final goal of the game while AU was a man-down with help from Keaton Lipsett.
- AU goalie Matt O'Donnel would end the game with 16 saves.
- The Spartans won the Key City Classic in the Championship over Dubuque 5-2.
