Spartans Take Down Eagles in First Round of NACC Tourney

Aurora University men's soccer team played Benedictine University again Saturday afternoon, this time in the opening round of the NACC tournament. A barrage of Eagle yellow cards gave way to a strong offensive output from the Spartans, lead by Senior Branden Dolezal who collected his second Hat-Trick of the year, and fifth of his AU career, in the eventual 3-1 Spartan NACC tournament win.

How it happened
- Spartan Senior Brandel Dolezal started off his day in the 12th minute, scoring his 15th goal of the year on the assist from Carlos Viayra.
- That was the total extent of the offense in the first-half, and goalie Alex Ageladelis recorded two saves.
- Five minutes in the second half, Benedictine would score their only goal of the game, tying the game at 1-1.
- In the 62nd minute of the match, Dolezal would get his second of the game on the assist from Max Crawford.
- And then in the 67th Dolezal would get his third goal of the match, the second hat-trick of the year, and fifth of his AU career.
- Spartan goalie Alex Ageladelis would tally four saves on the day.
- Aurora would win the opening round of the NACC tournament, 3-1.
