Spartans Win NACC Semi-Final with double overtime heroics

Aurora University men's soccer team hosted Illinois Institute of Technology in the Semi-Final round of the NACC tournament Tuesday night. A game full of a whirlwind of emotions, went into two overtime periods, and ended on an Isaac Jacobo golden goal with little time left on the clock.

How it happened
- Just one minute into the match, IIT would strike first, going up 1-0.
- Then in the fifth minute, the Scarlett Hawks scored yet again taking a very early 2-0 lead.
- Walter Delapaz would take advantage of a 14th minute Penalty Kick, getting the Spartans on the board.
- In the 26th minute, Branden Dolezal would tie the game up with an assist from Carlos Viayra.
- IIT would answer back at the end of the first half with a goal to go up 3-2 into halftime.
- At the half, Spartan goalie Alex Ageladelis would have two saves. 
- Striking first again would be the Scarlett Hawks, going up 4-2 in the 58th minute. 
- Starting the comeback was Sophomore Josue Roman in the 67th minute off the assist from Carlos Viayra.
- Tieing the game with only five minutes remaining was Jorge Morales, his second goal of the season on the assist from Branden Dolezal.
- The match would now enter the first 10 minute overtime. 
- No team could successfully score in the first overtime, forcing a second 10-minute overtime with golden goal rules.
- Halfway through the second overtime, a Red-Card was given to a Spartan for a second yellow in the game, forcing them to go a man down.
- With just two minutes remaining, and a man down, Isaac Jacobo would score the game winning golden goal to send the Spartans the NACC Championship game on the assist from Ray Fischer
