Aurora University Spartan men's hockey received several honors and recognition following the Key City Collegiate Classic last weekend in which the Spartans won the classic for a second consecutive season.
Spartans
Jackson Hay (defenseman) and
Matt O'Donnell (forward) were named to the Key City Classic All-Tournament Team. O'Donnell went 2-0 in net, collecting 38 saves with a .927 save percentage. Hay had a strong two-way weekend on defense with a plus-four and leading AU in points with a goal and three assists.
Coming off the strong weekend of victories, the Spartans then moved up in the United States College Hockey Organization (USCHO) and DIIIHockeyNews.com polls being ranked No. 4.
Next scheduled action for the Spartan men's hockey team comes on Saturday, November 8 when they travel to Lake Forest College. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in Lake Forest, Illinois.
