Aurora University Football had a pair of Spartans recognized on Wednesday when D3football.com announced the 2025 football All-Region awards. AU juniors, running back TJ Ramsey and defensive end JP Chaney were both selected as First-Team members.

Ramsey led the way, having rushed 182 times for 1,168 yards and 20 touchdowns. The 20 touchdowns set a new mark for single season rushing touchdowns by a Spartans. He also has caught 33 passes for 380 yards and two touchdowns. Ramsey is ranked in the top 11 nationally in six categories, rushing touchdowns (2nd - 20), total touchdowns (4th - 22), scoring (4th - 13.2 per game), points scored (4th - 132), all-purpose yards (7th - 172.6 per game) and rush yards per carry (11th - 6.68).

Chaney led the AU defense with 14.0 sacks, 28.0 tackles for loss, 13 quarterback hurries, 70 tackles, four forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, one blocked kick and two pass break-ups. His tackles for loss ranks third nationally and his sacks per game is fourth nationally.

AU finished the 2025 season with an 8-3 overall record, were 2025 SmileyCookie.com LakeFront Bowl Champions while finishing second in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference with a 6-2 record.
