Aurora University men's soccer forward
Branden Dolezal was recognized for his combined efforts in the classroom and on the field today when the College Sports Communicators (CSC - formerly CoSIDA) announced the members of the 2025 Men's Soccer Academic All-America teams. The honor is the second in as many years for Dolezal.
The CSC Academic All-America® honor is chosen based off the student-athletes combined prowess on the field and in the classroom is the latest achievement. Cobbett becomes the 50th Spartan student-athlete and second from the AU women's lacrosse program to be named a CSC/CoSIDA Academic All-America.
The Academic All-America honor for Dolezal adds to his 2025 season in which he was previously named an United Soccer Coaches (USC) Second-Team All-Region performer.
Dolezal earlier in the fall earned the top Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) offensive award after he has been one of the top scorers in NCAA Division III this season. Dolezal earned the top NACC offensive award after he has started all 20 games for AU, totaling 43 points on 18 goals and seven assists. He recorded at least one goal in 12 of 20 games this season and notched the game-winner on four occasions. Dolezal also had four multiple-goal games.
The Spartan men's soccer team finished the 2025 season with a 13-4-3 overall record and finished in second in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference with a 10-1-1 record.
