The Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) has announced its 3 Stars of the Week. AU Spartan women's hockey goalie Macy Blooming was named one of the three stars of the week.

Blooming earned the recognition after she led the Spartans to a successful weekend sweep over Beloit and Dubuque to claim the Mississippi Match-Up Championship, hosted by Dubuque. She posted a phenomenal 0.50 goals-against average and a .977 save percentage. The Milwaukee, Wis., native was impressive in Thursday's, 2-0, victory over Beloit, stopping all 14 shots she faced to earn the first shutout of her career. Blooming followed that up on Friday with another strong performance, allowing just one goal and making 21 saves in the 4-1 win over Dubuque. Over the two games, Blooming turned away 35-of-36 shots.

Next scheduled action for the Spartan women's hockey team comes on Friday, December 5 when they host Lawrence University. Puck drop is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. at the Fox Valley Ice Arena in Geneva, Illinois.
