Spartans Fall in NACC Opener

The Aurora University women's basketball team opened up their conference schedule on Wednesday night, taking on Wisconsin Lutheran in Milwaukee. AU would get a slow start out the gate and fall 62-46.

How it happened
- The Spartans kept it even through the first four minutes, on the back of four Krystyna Manzanarez points.
- WLC would start to pull away, going up 18-7 by the end of the quarter.
- Dani Antione and Manzanarez would each have two steals in the second quarter.
- At the half, the Warriors led 37-15.
- AU would put up a good fight in the third quarter, off of four more Manzanarez points, and two more steals.
- Antione and Alina Anderson would combine for 12 points in the 4th quarter, going four of eight from the field, and collecting four free throws.
- Manzanarez would swipe three more steals in the 4th, bringing her game total to eight steals, a career high.
- Despite outscoring the Warriors 31-25 in the second half, AU would fall 62-46.
