The Aurora University women's hockey team took on Lawrence University Friday afternoon at Fox Valley Ice Arena. A delayed penalty resulting in an empty net allowed Spartan Jillian Bilsborough to be credited with the game winning goal and only goal of the game.

- A back and forth battle in the first period kept it tied at 0-0 after 20 minutes.
- With five minutes remaining in the second period, Spartan Jillian Bilsborough was fore-checking and managed to clip the puck into the Lawrence defensive corner.
- Immediately after the touch, she was called for a delayed penalty which resulted in the Lawrence goalie heading off for an extra skater but seconds later, a Lawrence player flipped the puck back in the direction of the empty net and when the puck found the back of the net, the Spartans were up 1-0.
- Even while winning the face-off battle, and having more power play opportunities, the Vikings were unable to overcome the 1-0 AU lead.
- Spartan goalie Macy Blooming would end the game with 20 saves.
- AU would win 1-0.
