The Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) has announced its 3 Stars of the Week. AU Spartan women's hockey goalie Macy Blooming was named one of the three stars of the week, a second consecutive week that she has earned the honor.

Blooming earned the recognition after backstopping the Spartans to a sweep over Lawrence. The freshman from Milwaukee, Wis., was instrumental in Friday's 1-0 win, pitching a 20-save shutout. She then returned on Saturday to make 21 saves in the 3-2 victory, helping the Spartans earn six important conference points. For the weekend, Blooming totaled 41 saves while only allowing two goals.

Next scheduled action for the Spartan women's hockey team comes on Friday, January 9, 2026 when they travel to St. Olaf College. Puck drop is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. in Northfield, Minnesota.
